RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 Online Form (CEN 02/2025)
The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have invited online applications for the recruitment of Technician Grade-I Signal and various categories of Technician Grade-III across multiple Zonal Railways and Production Units.

RRB Technician 2025 Details
- RRB has released notifications for 6238 vacancies, consisting of 183 Technician Grade-I Signal posts and 6055 Technician Grade-III posts.
- Out of 30 post categories listed, 12 categories at Pay Level 2 have been organized as Merged Post Categories (MPCs) to streamline application convenience.
- Only online applications are allowed through the authorized recruitment portal. Separate applications and fees must be submitted for each individual Pay Level.
- Selection depends strictly on performance merit in the Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by Document Verification and a Medical Fitness Test.
- Identity verification via DigiLocker or Aadhaar is strongly recommended for seamless authentication across recruitment stages.

| Technician Grade III Categories (Posts 2 to 30) | Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade specific to the post designation (e.g., Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Machinist, Carpenter, Turner, etc.) OR Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA) in the relevant trades. Note: For Category 15 Technician Grade III (S & T), a qualification of 10+2 with Physics and Maths is also accepted in addition to the Matriculation plus ITI/CCAA pathway. Selection Process

Computer Based Test (CBT): Separate exams conducted for each Pay Level post. Normalization applies across multi-shift schedules.

Document Verification (DV): Candidates are shortlisted for DV based on CBT merit at a strict 1:1 ratio matching the final vacancies.

Medical Examination (ME): Provisionally empanelled candidates must qualify in the requisite medical standard tests (A3, B1, B2, or C1) handled by Railway Medical Authorities.

- Duration: 90 Minutes | Total Questions: 100 Objective MCQs
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark deducted for every incorrect response.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS - 40%, OBC-NCL - 30%, SC - 30%, ST - 25%.

Create an Account or enter your existing OTR credentials if already registered from prior RRB notifications.

Fill out all specific detail modules for eligibility, academic history, and contact coordinates. Choose your one preferred RRB per Pay Level.

Live Photo Capturing: Follow prompts to capture a live photograph using a webcam or smartphone camera. Wear non-white dark clothing against a plain background. Do not wear caps, masks, or glasses.

Upload a clear scanned signature in cursive running handwriting (Black ink, white paper, size 30 KB - 49 KB, JPG/JPEG format).
- 6
Pay the examination fee via integrated online gateways (UPI, Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card) before the closing deadline.
Important Instructions
- Only Indian Nationals or eligible subjects specified by the Government of India are entitled to apply.
- Submission of multiple applications for the same Pay Level will lead to the automatic rejection of all forms and debarment.
- Candidates who have undergone LASIK surgery are strictly ineligible for posts needing an A3 medical standard.
- Banned items inside exam centers include mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, books, pens, pencils, or water bottles. Pens will be provided in the test hall.
- Do not apply henna/mehendi on hands or feet to prevent biometrics capturing failure.
