About This Recruitment

Central Bank of India is a public sector bank with a wide branch network across India. The apprentice engagement is designed to provide banking exposure and on-the-job training under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Vacancy Details

The notification lists 4500 training seats for apprentices. The number of vacancies/reserved vacancies is tentative and may change as per bank requirement.

State-wise and district-wise detailed distribution is given in Annexure I of the official notification. Candidates should verify their selected state, district and language details from the notice before applying.

Eligibility and Qualification

• Candidate must be an Indian citizen or otherwise eligible as per the nationality rules in the notification.
• Candidate must be registered on the NATS portal to apply.
• Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government is required.
• Graduation must have been completed on or after 01 January 2022.
• Candidate should be proficient in the specified local / official language of the state applied for.
• Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship or have one year or more training/job experience after qualification are not eligible as per the notification conditions.

Selection Process

1. Online objective examination conducted through BFSI SSC.
2. Test of Local Language for the state applied for, unless exempted by 10th or 12th marksheet language condition.
3. Merit list as per vacancies and bank cut-off.
4. Document verification of date of birth, category, educational qualification and other application details.
5. Medical fitness as per bank requirement.
6. Digital apprenticeship contract through the government apprenticeship portal before engagement.

Exam Pattern

There will be no negative marks for wrong answers in the objective tests.

Local Language Test / Skill Requirement

Candidates applying for a state must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding at least one specified local or official language of that state. The local language test is conducted after qualifying the online examination. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th marksheet showing study of the specified local language may not be required to undergo the language test.

Salary and Benefits

• Apprentices are eligible for a stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month.
• The duration of engagement is 12 months.
• No other allowances or benefits are admissible as per the notification.
• Apprentices are entitled to holidays observed by the bank.
• One casual leave every month is allowed during apprenticeship.
• No overtime is allowed.
