Vacancy Details

Eligibility and Qualification

• Deputy Director (Medical): Recognized postgraduate medical qualification approved under the Medical Council Act, 1956; training in medical education technology/evaluation techniques is desirable.
• Junior Programmer: B.Tech / B.E / BCA / DOEACC B or C level / degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics with computer specialization or equivalent.
• Junior Accountant: Degree in Mathematics or Statistics, or degree in Commerce from a recognized university, and passing the examination prescribed by NBEMS.
• Stenographer: Senior Secondary (10+2) with shorthand/typing speed of 80/30 words per minute and qualifying General English / Stenography / Computer Typing test conducted by the Board.
• Junior Assistant: Senior Secondary (12th) from a recognized board/university with proficiency in computer use and basic software packages, and passing the examination prescribed by NBEMS.

Selection Process

1. For Deputy Director (Medical) and Junior Programmer, the examination scheme and syllabus will be notified later on the NBEMS website.
2. For Junior Accountant, Stenographer and Junior Assistant, Stage-I will be a Computer Based Test of 200 questions and 200 marks.
3. Stage-I duration is 180 minutes with 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer.
4. Stage-II will be a Computer Knowledge/Skill Test of 100 marks and 75 minutes for shortlisted candidates.
5. Five candidates against every vacancy in each category may be called for Stage-II based on CBT merit.
6. Final merit for Junior Accountant, Stenographer and Junior Assistant will be prepared on the total marks of Stage-I and Stage-II.

Exam Pattern

The Stage-I CBT is of 180 minutes and has 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer. For Deputy Director (Medical) and Junior Programmer, the scheme and syllabus will be intimated later on the NBEMS website.

Physical Standards / Skill Test / Typing Test

Stage-II Computer Knowledge/Skill Test applies to Junior Accountant, Stenographer and Junior Assistant. It may include Data Entry, Word Processing, Computer Operation, Stenography and other post-specific tasks. Stenographer applicants should note the notified shorthand/typing speed requirement of 80/30 words per minute.

Salary and Benefits

• Deputy Director (Medical): Pay Matrix Level 11.
• Junior Programmer: Pay Matrix Level 7.
• Junior Accountant: Pay Matrix Level 4.
• Stenographer: Pay Matrix Level 4.
• Junior Assistant: Pay Matrix Level 2.
• Other service conditions, bond/undertaking and benefits will apply as per NBEMS rules and the official notice.
