South East Central Railway, Nagpur Division has invited online applications for engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 and Apprenticeship Rule 1992 for the year 2026-27 in Nagpur Division and Workshop Motibagh.

Eligibility & Age Limit
Educational Qualification
Candidate must have passed Matriculation / Class 10 or equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
ITI Qualification
Candidate must have National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT, or provisional certificate issued by NCVT / SCVT.
Age Limit as on 19-05-2026
Minimum Age: 15 Years
Maximum Age: 24 Years
Age Relaxation
SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PWBD and Ex-Servicemen: 10 years as per notification rules.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on the merit list prepared for eligible candidates who apply against the notification.

Merit will be prepared using percentage of marks in Matriculation with minimum 50% aggregate marks plus ITI marks in the relevant trade.
- 3
If two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate will be preferred. If date of birth is also same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier will be considered first.

Shortlisted candidates will undergo original document verification and medical fitness examination as applicable for the workshop or division units.
Training, Stipend & Medical Fitness
Training is regulated as per standards / syllabus issued by Central Apprenticeship Council.
Candidates undergoing training will be eligible for stipend as per prescribed rates.
Selected candidates may have to bring a medical certificate in prescribed proforma at joining.
Employment Clarification
The notification states that it is not obligatory for the employer to offer employment after completion of apprenticeship training, and it is not obligatory for the apprentice to accept employment under the employer.

Search and apply for South East Central Railway Nagpur Division or Motibagh Workshop using the relevant establishment code.

Fill Class 10 and ITI marks carefully in the qualification section. If these marks do not appear in the downloaded Excel file, candidature may be rejected.

Submit the form and save the generated registration number for future recruitment process or correspondence.
Important Instructions
- Applications must be submitted online only through the Apprenticeship India portal.
- Candidates should ensure that they fulfil all eligibility and document requirements before applying.
- Candidature may be cancelled if required original testimonials are not produced or any discrepancy is found.
- Candidates who have already done apprenticeship in any organization should not apply again for apprenticeship under this notification.
- No daily allowance, conveyance allowance or travelling allowance will be paid for document verification.
- After selection, request to change division or unit will not be entertained.
- No accommodation will be provided by Railway for apprentices.
