Educational Qualification
Common Essential Qualification
For each trade, candidates should have passed SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects and minimum 55% marks, along with one of the following trade-related requirements.

Concerned trade must match the post code applied for, such as Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Surveyor, RAC, Draughtsman etc.
Selection Process

Applications will be screened by a duly constituted Screening Committee.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Trade Test.
- 3
Candidates who qualify the Trade Test will be invited for Competitive Written Examination.

Paper-II and Paper-III will be evaluated only for candidates who secure minimum threshold marks in Paper-I.
- 5
Final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of marks obtained in Paper-II and Paper-III.

Objective type multiple choice examination.
Except questions on English language.
Across Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III.
Standard: SSC + ITI / XIIth Standard.

Paper-II and Paper-III marks are used for final merit. Paper-I is qualifying as per minimum threshold decided by the Selection Committee.
Merit & Tie Breaking
- Final merit will be prepared on marks obtained in Paper-II and Paper-III only.
- In case of tie, candidate with higher marks in concerned subject / trade will be placed higher.
- Further tie may be resolved by lesser negative marks, older date of birth, earlier acquisition of essential qualification and alphabetical order of first name as per notification rules.
- Date, time and venue of Trade Test and Written Examination will be intimated through CSIR-CIMFR website.

- State Bank Collect e-receipt / transaction reference for ₹500 application fee wherever applicable.
- Latest passport size colour photograph and candidate signature.
- SSC / 10th Standard certificate or marksheet showing name and date of birth.
- Educational certificates / marksheets supporting essential and higher qualifications.
- Experience certificate where experience is claimed.
- SC / ST / OBC-NCL / EWS / PwBD certificate in prescribed Government of India format, if applicable.
- OBC Non-Creamy Layer declaration, if applicable.
- No Objection Certificate for candidates working as regular / permanent employees in Government / CSIR / Autonomous Bodies / PSUs etc.

Fill primary registration details carefully, then select the post code for which you are eligible.

Fill educational and employment details, upload relevant certificates and verify the application before final submission.

Pay the application fee through SBI Collect wherever applicable and upload e-receipt / proof of payment.

Submit the online application and retain a printout / payment record for future reference. Hard copy is not required to be sent to CSIR-CIMFR.
Important Instructions
- Only online applications will be accepted. No other mode of application is accepted.
- Candidate can apply for multiple post codes subject to eligibility, but separate application and fee are required for each post code.
- Only one application will be considered for each post code. If multiple applications are submitted for a single post code, the latest completed application will be considered.
- Incomplete applications or applications without required documents / fee wherever applicable will be rejected.
- All future announcements, updates, corrigendum or addendum will be published only on the official CSIR-CIMFR website.
- In case of discrepancy between English and Hindi versions of the advertisement, the English version will prevail.
