Eligibility & Essential Qualifications

Academic Proof Validation: Only degrees obtained through a university incorporated by an Act of Parliament or deemed under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 are valid. The course must stand successfully completed as on the closing date of registration.

Age Limits & Category Relaxations

Age Limit Criteria: Minimum age must be 20 Years, and the maximum upper threshold must not cross 30 Years as on the closing date of application receipt (03-07-2026).

Verification Clause: Only dates entered in Matriculation, Secondary School Leaving Certificate, or equivalent University registers are recognized. Horoscopes, affidavits, or municipal corporation birth extracts are rejected.

Selection Process & Training Structure

   Computer Based Test (CBT): All eligible applicants must undergo an objective type multiple choice examination consisting of a single consolidated paper spanning three sections.

   Sectional Shortlisting & Normalization: Normalization procedures will be executed across multi-session configurations if applicable. Selection requires meeting explicit sectional and aggregate marks cut-offs.

   Document Verification: Candidates positioned in the generated final merit lists are systematically subjected to comprehensive original certificate checks and verification processes.

   Surety Bond Execution: Candidates finalized for appointment must complete a service bond worth Rs. 6,000,000/- to serve the organization for at least 5 consecutive years.

   Pre-Appointment Training: Appointees will systematically navigate structured frameworks: JTO Phase-I Training (10 weeks), Field Training (4 weeks), and JTO Phase-II Specialisation Training (6 weeks). A maximum of 2 attempts is granted to qualify the training exams.

Written Examination Pattern & Syllabus

The single-shift test spans 3 hours total duration. For each correct response, 4 marks are added; for each wrong response, 1 mark is deducted (-1 Negative Marking).

• Section I (Engineering Stream): Materials and components, Structure and properties of Electronic Engineering materials, Passive components, Physical Electronics, Electron Devices and ICs, Network theory, Network analysis techniques, Electromagnetic Theory, Transmission lines, Electronic Measurements and instrumentation, and Power Electronics.
• Section II (Engineering Stream): Analog Electronic Circuits, Digital Electronic Circuits, Logic families, Combinational logic circuits, Semiconductor memories, Control Systems, Communication systems (Modulation, Optical, Satellite), Microwave Engineering, Computer Engineering (Number Systems, Data structures, Processor architecture), and Microprocessors.
• Section III (General Ability): Comprehension and simple exercises in General English, Current Events knowledge, everyday observations, developments in Telecommunications, History of India, and Geography.

Important Instructions

• Any request regarding changes to mailing addresses, specified disciplines, or assigned test centers will be rejected.
• In case of multiple application registration instances from a single candidate, the system retains the latest instance and automatically rejects all preceding records.
• Candidates working within Government Departments, Public Sector Undertakings, or Autonomous Bodies are mandatory required to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) during physical verification steps.
• OBC Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificates must stand validly processed and issued on or after 01-04-2026.
