Phase B: Descriptive Screening Test (60 Marks Weightage)[cite: 9]

• Candidates will undergo a 1-hour offline descriptive examination evaluating conceptual writing potential, legally sound drafting capability, and procedural awareness, carrying a total weightage of 60 marks[cite: 9].

Phase C: Interview Test (20 Marks Weightage)[cite: 9]

Nature of Work / Duties Assigned

Successful candidates are attached with Hon'ble High Court Judges at the main Prayagraj court or Lucknow Bench[cite: 9]. Core duties include:

• Performing analytical legal research on specialized points of law and precedents as directed by the attached judge[cite: 9].
• Attending Judge's chambers and active court hearings to record systematic notes and case pointers[cite: 9].
• Assisting in drafting, compiling case study notes, interpreting legal statutes, maintaining systematic record files, tracking judicial pronouncements, and summarizing key legal issues[cite: 9].

Important Practice Constraints & Rules

• Restriction on Practice: Upon termination of the contract, a Research Associate cannot appear in any capacity before the specific judge they were attached with for a continuous period of two years[cite: 9].
• Professional Restriction: No Research Associate can participate in any other parallel academic, regular, or professional pursuit throughout their contract tenure without prior court approval[cite: 9].
• Marital Disqualification: Candidates holding more than one living spouse, or married to an individual who has a legally living spouse, are ineligible[cite: 9].
• Criminal Case Restriction: Any individual who is charge-sheeted or convicted in a criminal trial will face immediate disqualification[cite: 9].
