Eligibility and Qualification

• B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council / State Nursing Council recognized institute or university. OR
• B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council / State Nursing Council recognized institute.
• Must be registered as Nurses & Midwife with State / Indian Nursing Council. OR
• Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized board/council AND registered as Nurse & Midwife with State / Indian Nursing Council, PLUS 2 years of experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital after acquiring the educational qualification.

Selection Process

1. Stage-I: NORCET Preliminary Examination (Qualifying Screening CBT Exam).
2. Stage-II: NORCET Mains Examination (Competitive CBT Exam for Merit ranking).
3. Document Verification of original certificates, qualification documents, nursing registration, and experience certificates.
4. Medical Examination by allocated AIIMS / Hospital authorities before issuance of final joining letter.

Exam Pattern

The examination is conducted in two separate stages in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode with negative marking of 1/3 mark for every incorrect response.

Qualifying marks in Stage-I: UR/EWS - 50%, OBC - 45%, SC/ST - 40%. PwBD candidates receive an additional 5% relaxation in their respective categories.

• Pay Level: Level-7 in Pay Matrix.
• Pay Scale: Rs. 9300 - 34800/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4600/-.
• Group: Group 'B' Non-Gazetted.
