About This Recruitment

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), the largest public sector oil major in India, has published an official notification (Advt No. IOCL/MKTG/NR/APPR/2026-27/1) for engagement of Technical, Trade, Graduate, and Data Entry Operator (DEO) Apprentices across its Marketing Division in the Northern Region. A total of 433 vacancies have been announced for candidates seeking professional industrial apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973.

The online application window opened on 07 August 2026 and eligible candidates can submit their forms online until 06 September 2026. Candidates holding a 3-year Diploma in Engineering, 2-year ITI Certificate, Bachelor's Degree (BA/B.Sc/B.Com/BBA), or 12th Pass with Domestic DEO Skill Certification can apply according to their post-specific qualifications.

The recruitment drive offers engagements for 156 Technician Apprentices, 104 Trade ITI Apprentices, 104 Graduate Apprentices, and 69 Trade Apprentice DEO positions. Selected candidates will undergo structured training while receiving a prescribed monthly stipend in accordance with apprenticeship rules.

Detailed Qualification & General Eligibility

• Technician Apprentice: 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics, or Electronics Engineering from a recognized institute with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
• Trade ITI Apprentice: Regular ITI certificate (2-year course) in Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, or Machinist trades recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
• Graduate Apprentice: Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, or Business Administration (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA) with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
• Trade DEO Apprentice: Class 12th pass (below graduate status) with a valid Domestic Data Entry Operator (DEO) Skill Certificate awarded by an NSQF-aligned or government-recognized body.
• Important Requirement: Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training or possess job experience of 1 year or more after completing their qualification are not eligible to apply as per Apprenticeship rules.

Selection Process

The engagement procedure for IOCL Apprentices recruitment strictly adheres to guidelines set under the Apprentices Act:

1. Shortlisting & Merit List Candidates are shortlisted based on marks secured in the qualifying examination (Diploma, ITI, Graduation, or 12th Marks) or through an online test as prescribed by IOCL.
2. Document Verification (DV) Shortlisted candidates will be called for physical verification of original educational certificates, caste certificates, identity proof, and skill certificates.
3. Pre-Engagement Medical Examination Candidates selected after DV must clear the pre-engagement medical fitness test as per IOCL medical standards.
4. Final Allotment & Apprenticeship Contract Issuance of formal offer letter and signing of apprenticeship contract on the official NATS / NAPS portal.

1. Visit the official IOCL Apprenticeship portal at iocl.com/apprenticeships or NATS/NAPS portal as applicable.
2. Candidates applying for Technician / Graduate Apprentice posts must first register on the NATS Portal (nats.education.gov.in) and obtain an Enrolment ID.
3. Candidates applying for Trade ITI Apprentice posts must be registered on the NAPS Portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in).

5. Register using a valid email ID and mobile number to receive your login credentials.
