Eligibility and Qualification

• Junior Engineer (JE): Three years Diploma in Engineering OR Degree (B.E. / B.Tech.) in relevant streams such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or Information Technology from a recognized University/Institute.
• Depot Material Superintendent (DMS): Three years Diploma in Engineering OR Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
• Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA): Bachelor's Degree in Science (B.Sc.) with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum required percentage from a recognized University.

Selection Process

1. 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT Stage-1) – Screening / Qualifying Stage.
2. 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT Stage-2) – Core Subject / Technical Evaluation Stage.
3. Document Verification (DV) – Authentic credential check of qualified candidates.
4. Medical Examination (ME) – Medical fitness test as per prescribed Railway standards (A-3 / B-1 / B-2).

Exam Pattern

CBT Stage-1 Structure: Screening test containing 100 Questions for 100 Marks with a total duration of 90 Minutes. Negative marking of 1/3rd mark (0.33) is applicable for each wrong attempt.

CBT Stage-2 Structure: Consists of 150 Questions for 150 Marks duration 120 Minutes, covering General Physics/Chemistry, Basics of Computers, Environmental Awareness, and 100 marks dedicated to Technical Abilities in the candidate's engineering discipline.
