About This Result

The Staff Selection Commission has officially declared the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) results for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) Examination, 2025. Following the announcement of the Paper-I results on March 6, 2026, a total of 15,607 candidates were shortlisted, out of which 14,062 appeared for Paper-II on April 7, 2026. Online option-cum-preferences were collected from June 10 to June 14, 2026, with 11,052 candidates successfully submitting their choices.

This result marks the implementation of a new Sliding Mechanism to optimize vacancy utilization. Evaluation has been processed using normalized marks for Paper-I, along with inter-branch normalization between Mechanical and Electrical streams for Paper-II due to distinct question papers and difficulty variables.

In instances where multiple aspirants secure identical aggregate scores across Paper-I and Paper-II, positions are allocated using the hierarchical rules below:

3. Total marks scored in Part (ii) of Paper-I.
4. Date of birth preference, giving higher rank to the older candidates.

What After FRTA - The Sliding Mechanism Rules

Candidates provisionally allocated seats must log into their accounts between July 12 and July 14, 2026, to book their verification venue and slot. They must physically report for Identity Verification on July 20 or 21, 2026. This process facilitates candidate choice options ('FIX' or 'FLOAT') to fill left-over vacancies via subsequent reallocation.

Critical Warning: Any candidate who fails to report physically for the mandatory Identity Verification (IV) process on the specified dates will automatically forfeit their candidature, and they will not be integrated into the final selection list.
