GovJobUpdates respects user privacy. This policy explains what data may be collected when you use our government exam updates, rank predictor, quiz, dashboard, and browser-based document tools.

Information we collect

For normal browsing, we may process basic technical information such as page path, browser/device information, referrer, and browser-generated visitor IDs to operate website features and analytics.

Firebase visitor analytics

We use Firebase Realtime Database to show live visitor count and total website visit statistics. For this purpose, we may store a browser-generated visitor ID, page path, referrer, user agent, first seen time, last seen time, and presence status. This data is used only for website analytics and visitor counter functionality.

Rank Predictor data

When you use Rank Predictor, we may collect candidate name, roll number, mobile number, date of birth, gender, category, state, exam name, exam date, shift, attempted questions, right/wrong answers, marks, and subject-wise attempt data. This information is used to calculate estimated rank, category rank, state rank, percentile, and related analytics.

Google Sheets / Apps Script

Some Rank Predictor or update features may use Google Sheets and Google Apps Script as a backend. Data submitted through these features may be stored in a connected Google Sheet for calculation and retrieval.

UP certificate assistance requests

When you request UP caste, domicile or income certificate assistance, we may collect the selected service, applicant and family-name details, Aadhaar-linked mobile number, email address, district, tehsil, address, optional Aadhaar last four digits, payment transaction/UTR reference, payment screenshot, Aadhaar document, supporting letter, photograph, optional additional document and any note you provide.

This information is submitted through a Google Apps Script and Google Drive-based processing workflow only to review payment, provide the requested application assistance, communicate about the request and maintain a service record. GovJobUpdates is not a government website and cannot approve or issue a certificate; official decisions remain with the concerned authority.

After a successful request, request details and a reference to the uploaded folder may be saved in your browser storage for recent-request reference. Uploaded document file contents are transmitted for processing and are not stored in browser storage by this form. Only submit your own documents or documents you are authorised to provide.

Browser storage

We may use localStorage, sessionStorage, or similar browser storage for visitor ID, quiz attempts, candidate session, saved preferences, and daily unique visitor tracking. You can clear this data from your browser settings.

Document tools

Browser-based document tools are intended to process files locally in your browser unless a tool clearly states otherwise. Avoid uploading sensitive documents if you are unsure about a feature.

Cookies and similar technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers for website functionality, analytics, fraud prevention, and advertising. Third-party services may process data according to their own privacy policies.

Google AdSense advertising

GovJobUpdates may use Google AdSense or similar third-party advertising services after approval. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads when advertising is enabled on this website.

When advertising is enabled, Google and other third parties may place and read cookies on a user's browser, or use web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to collect information. Users can manage or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. If additional third-party advertising vendors or ad networks are enabled in the future, their details and applicable opt-out options will be disclosed in this policy.

Advertising on forms and personal-data pages

Our controlled advertising placements are intended for pages that contain usable content. We do not intend to place ads within pages used for account access, candidate dashboards, rank predictor input forms or empty/unavailable result views, document tools, contact requests, or UP certificate service forms that collect document and payment details. A completed rank-result analysis may include a clearly separated ad placement after result content is shown.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data may be processed through service providers such as Firebase, Google Sheets, or Google Apps Script only to run website features.

Data security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect submitted data, but no internet-based system can be guaranteed 100% secure. Rank Predictor and visitor analytics data may be retained as long as needed for functionality, analysis, and abuse prevention.

Deletion requests

To request deletion or correction of submitted Rank Predictor data, contact us with your roll number, mobile number, exam name, and a clear request. For UP certificate assistance requests, include your request ID, mobile number and service type so we can identify the submitted service record and uploaded documents.

Children and user responsibility

Users should provide accurate information and avoid submitting another person’s personal details without permission.
