GovJobUpdates respects user privacy. This policy explains what data may be collected when you use our government exam updates, live-test module, My Desk study dashboard, rank predictor, quiz, UP services and browser-based document tools.

Information we collect

For normal browsing, we may process basic technical information such as page path, browser or device information, referrer, IP-based service logs and browser-generated visitor IDs to operate website features, analytics and abuse prevention.

Firebase, analytics and visitor presence

We use Firebase services for visitor counters, page statistics, login-related state, app or web presence features and push notification token handling where enabled. This may include a browser or app generated ID, page path, referrer, user agent, first seen time, last seen time, presence status and notification token.

Live test registration and payment data

When you register for a live test, we may collect name, mobile number, email, registration ID, user ID, test ID, payment status, promo code, test attempt activity, answer data, marks, rank, violation logs and result/report details. This data is used to run the test, verify eligibility, process payments, publish results, prevent cheating and provide support.

Razorpay and payment processing

Paid live tests and selected services may use Razorpay or UPI/payment references. Payment gateway providers may process payment ID, order ID, signature, transaction status and related payment metadata according to their own policies. We do not ask users to share card PIN, UPI PIN, net banking password or OTP with us.

Rank Predictor data

When you use Rank Predictor, we may collect candidate name, roll number, mobile number, date of birth, gender, category, state, exam name, exam date, shift, attempted questions, right/wrong answers, marks and subject-wise attempt data. This information is used to calculate estimated rank and related analytics. It is not an official result.

My Desk study dashboard data

When you use My Desk in the Android app, we may store your target exam, study targets, study timer/manual study entries, weekly planner, revision reminders, wrong-question notes, quick notes, streak and focus-score related data with your logged-in account. This data is used only to provide your personal study dashboard and may use localStorage for active timer recovery and app state.

UP certificate assistance requests

When you request UP caste, domicile or income certificate assistance, we may collect the selected service, applicant details, Aadhaar-linked mobile number, email address, district, tehsil, address, optional Aadhaar last four digits, payment transaction/UTR reference, payment screenshot, Aadhaar document, supporting letter, photograph, optional additional document and any note you provide.

This information is submitted through a Google Apps Script and Google Drive-based processing workflow only to review payment, provide application assistance, communicate about the request and maintain a service record. GovJobUpdates is not a government website and cannot approve or issue a certificate; official decisions remain with the concerned authority.

Browser storage

We may use cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage or similar browser storage for visitor ID, quiz attempts, candidate session, saved preferences, My Desk timer drafts, app WebView state, daily unique visitor tracking and security checks. You can clear this data from your browser settings.

Google AdSense advertising

GovJobUpdates may use Google AdSense or similar third-party advertising services after approval. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve ads and measure performance when advertising is enabled on this website.

Users can manage or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. More information about Google's use of data on partner sites is available at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Advertising on sensitive pages

Our controlled advertising placements are intended for public content pages. We avoid placing ads on login, registration, payment, test attempt, private result lookup, admin, dashboard, document upload and personal-data collection pages.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data may be processed through service providers such as Firebase, Razorpay, Google Sheets, Google Apps Script and Google Drive only to run website features, payments, support, fraud prevention and record keeping.

Refunds and service records

Payment and refund-related data may be retained as needed for transaction verification, support, accounting and dispute handling. Please read our Refund Policy for payment and cancellation conditions.

Data security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect submitted data, but no internet-based system can be guaranteed 100% secure. Data may be retained as long as needed for functionality, legal/business records, analysis and abuse prevention.

Deletion requests

To request deletion or correction of submitted data, contact us with enough details to identify your request, such as registration ID, roll number, mobile number, exam name, service type or request ID. Some transaction records may need to be retained for legal, payment or dispute reasons.

For My Desk, logged-in users may use the in-app export and reset controls to download a local JSON backup or delete their My Desk study dashboard data. This does not delete the login account or records that must be retained for legal, payment, security or abuse-prevention reasons.

Children and user responsibility

Users should provide accurate information and avoid submitting another person's personal details without permission.
